Dog's neuter wound won't heal. What helps stop irritation and licking?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old

Panda has been castrated and a mass removed the stitches came out 16 days post op however the last stitch in his castration wound was nibbled and wasn't healed he is still wearing e collar because he keeps trying to get the wound vet said leave on for 24/48 hrs but wound is still not healed am wondering if I can put something on it to assist the healing and stop the irritation so he leaves it alone and today is 48 hrs since stitch removal should I take back to vet or treat at home

Hi there. I suggest you try this product. Apply a thin layer 2-3 times per day. Keep the E-collar on. If after a 4-5 days you are seeing minimal to no improvement then I suggest you take him back to your vet. https://www.animates.co.nz/aniwell-active-manuka-honey-ointment-100g.html As a side note, are you sure the E-collar is long enough go past the end of his nose? If not, he can still lick the incision so you need to make sure he is wearing the correct size. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
