Is it safe to give a cat zodiac flea drops and then put on a zodiac flea collar?

Cats can be very sensitive to flea treatment products, and toxicity can occur from using two products at the same time. Because of that, it's not safe to give the flea drops and then put on the flea collar. Typically the flea drops should be enough to protect Tinkerbell from fleas, and I recommend using only that. Can I use fipronil and a cat collar at same time? I've had a collar on them for about 3 weeks, just gave them a bath ( no collar on) and just curious do can I put back on collar and administrator fipronil. Not sure of brand of collar, can't remember.
I would recommend only using one. I prefer topical over collars since not all collars work. There are plenty of topical medications for cats that help prevent fleas and ticks. Some topical you can apply monthly while others like Bravecto can be applied once every 3 months. Without knowing what type of collar and which fipronil product you are using I wouldn't use them together. I would also wait 48 hours before and after a bath before putting topical medication on. Hello I have a year and a half old cat and he has fleas. I put a collar on him and he's still itching, even worse than before. Is it ok to give him drops too? The brand of the collar and drops is hartz
Hello, I would consider using an alternative product. There has been increased number of adverse reactions with the hartz flea product and would not feel comfortable using both concurrently. I would recommend using either the collar or the drops. Alternatively, there are other products in the market you could consider as well such as advantage or frontline. I have six cats ages range from 4-1.5 and got them all a flea collar yesterday, but are they safe for them and us?
The only flea collars on the market that I've found to be both safe and effective are the Seresto collars. The other flea collars at best don't work, or at worst, can cause some pretty toxic reactions. With any of the collars, it's always best to wash your hands well if you touch them. The safety margin for these collars is pretty variable depending on active ingredients and carrier mechanism in the collar. Other good flea treatment/prevention options for cats include topical medications, such as Advantage (available over the counter), or Bravecto or Revolution (prescription-based from your veterinarian).

Can I use bio spot flea collar and Advantage 2 flea meds on my cats at the same time?
Yes, you can use both of these flea preventatives simultaneously. However, flea collars are notoriously ineffective, so I never recommend them under any circumstance. If Cali is currently having an issue with fleas, you can instead give her an oral Capstar ( http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=10902 ) to kill adult fleas within 30 minutes, and use the Advantage to prevent fleas for a full month. If Cali is not currently experiencing a flea infestation, Advantage alone should be sufficient. Good luck! :-)

Can I use a flea & tick collar along with the monthly Lufenuron & Nitenpyram
I don't recommend it. Typically you do not need to combine multiple flea and tick medications to control these parasites, one flea and tick medication is enough. In addition, too much can cause a toxic reaction. I also personally do not like flea and tick collars, they aren't very effective and can cause skin reactions. I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I do not recommend combining Hartz products. It is a notoriously known company to cause side effects. I would change brands once the collar expires. I recommend the Seresto collar or the oral formulations for ticks (Nexgard, Simparica or Bravecto). Have a good day!

Use a PetArmor plus flea and tick drops in conjunction with a pet tick collar
Both products essentially do the same thing although they use different active ingredients so I'm not sure why you want to use both. That would be overkill and you could overdose your dog. I would not recommend repeating treatment with similar ingredients for at least a month, especially in cats which are very sensitive to overdosing. These flea collars are extremely toxic and one should not use them anymore. Tetrachlorvinphos toxic to the nervous system and likely to cause cancer. The collar could indeed have caused these signs in your kitty. There are quite a few flea and tick medications on the market, such as spot-ons that are not detrimental to the health of your cat. Here are safe flea products: Spot-ons and/or chews Advantage, Advantix Advantage Multi (Advocate in the UK) Frontline (ticks as well) Bravecto spot on (ticks as well) - for cats, Simparica, Nexgard Revolution (stronghold in the UK) Tablets: comfortis (will only kill fleas once) Collar: Seresto (ticks as well)
