My dog scraped his nose. How can I help it heal and prevent worsening?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 86 lbs

My dog opened up his nose and as he plays around o am scared that he will open it up further. Is there anything I can put to heal it faster?

This is a difficult place to put anything on, because it will just be licked off. From what I'm seeing in the picture, it is a very minor abrasion, so I would not be to worried about it getting any worse. For now, it's best to just keep the wound clean by wiping it with warm water occasionally. This should be completely healed within the next two weeks.

    Ouch, poor Charlie! I would gently clean the wound with warm water and antiseptic soap. Keep the wound clean and dry, and monitor it for signs of infection. If you see swelling, it's warm to the touch, or there is pus, then it is infected and he will need to see the vet for antibiotics to treat it. Good luck, I hope this helps!
