What if any vaccinations do you recommend for an 18yr old 60lb lab/hound mix

At Ozzy's age I recommend the rabies vaccine, distemper and bordetella. If you live in an area with high rates of lyme disease or leptospirosis then you would still want to continue those as well. If rates are low however, you may be able to discontinue these. Its best to discuss risk vs benefits with your veterinarian. Please post again if you have any further questions.

These are what I would suggest as "required": 1. Rabies 2. Distemper/Parvo 5 -way 3. Leptospirosis Booster the #2 and #3 three to four weeks after the initial vaccination; rabies does not require a booster. Then continue with them all once yearly. If you plan to take him to any boarding facilities, dog training, grooming, dog parks, etc then you should also get the Bordetella vaccination (kennel cough). If you are in a Lyme disease endemic area you should probably do that vaccine as well. If you do all of these I suggest you split them up over a few weeks time and not do them all at once.
