My chinchilla has an ear scab. Is it serious or should I leave it?

My 7 month old chinchilla has a scab in his ear, and I’m not sure if it is something that I should be concerned about or leave alone.

Hello, the scab looks to be dry and lifting off the skin from what I can tell in the pictures. The rest of the external ear looks clean and not inflamed. Therefore, I’d say if he’s otherwise eating and drinking well, you can keep an eye on him. If he’s itchy or shows any other signs of illness, or the scans persist, then Henry should be seeen by a veterinarian.
