Moving with a pig: How to prevent loneliness and help her adjust?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 100 lbs

I'm going to be moving soon. How will this affect my pig. She stays outside with my dads pigs and other animals while I'm at work then she comes in the rest of the day. When I move she'll be the only pig/pet. Will she be sad?

There may be a period of adjustment for her, but she should be fine. Consider a pet daycare if one is available locally. Provide plenty of toys and possibly leave a radio or television on for her. Increased playtime and interaction when you are home would be recommended after the move.
