What is the different between 2 injection treatment for heart worms and 3 injection treatment? Which is safer? The prices different?

The treatment requiring 3 injections will kill a greater number of adult heartworm and is generally considered safer than the 2 injection treatment because worms die slower. The additional injection may be at additional cost. You would need to confirm costs with your veterinarian since they can differ by geographic location and the weight of the patient.
