Leptospirosis in dogs: What are the symptoms and is blood work needed?

Someone at vets office said he should not have to do this blood work for Lepro. What are the symptoms

I have attached a handout on Leptospirosis below. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=573 Dogs with Lepto are generally very sick since it can affect the liver and kidneys, but sometimes we just see abnormalities on the bloodwork that make us worry about it and test for it. We normally vaccinate dogs that are at risk for the disease.
