My senior cat has a hard red spot on her belly. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 12 lbs

Hello, I noticed this dark red round spot on my cats underbelly. It seems kind of hard when I touch it. Doesn't seem to be bothering her. She is about 14 years old, indoor cat, never been outside. Any clue as to what this might be? A fatty tumor? It's also about the size of a nickel. I've noticed another big one on her belly but it's clear, which is think is more of a fatty tumor which I believe is harmless unless really bad. Please let me know when you can and if I should take her to the vet?

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The spot on Cozy's belly definitely looks very suspicious of a mass or tumor, especially at her age. I recommend having the area looked at by a vet as soon as possible. Your vet will be able to either remove the mass completely and confirm whether it is malignant or benign, or take smaller samples using a small needle. I hope this helps!
