Why is my Labrador suddenly in pain, whining, and shaking often?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 6 years and 5 months old | 80 lbs

I have black labrador and for the past few months he was feeling pain for what ever reason he just sudenly starts whining and the sits down and shakes, he cant move for a minute or two because he feels some kind of pain, at first we tought it was his rear leg, but the vet streched his leg and he didnt react to it. The vet said its pausibly because of the tumor he had in his stomach, but after the operation he still feels some kind of pain in every 3-4 days he will sudenly shake and whine.

As your vet told you this could be an internal pain, although i would not rule out hip pain just because your dog did not react upon manipulation of the legs. i would recommend having him put on pain killers for at least 2 weeks and see if this helps at all.
