Pet's info: Cat | Turkish Angora | Female | 6 months and 19 days old | 8.8 lbs
My cat has a wound on its left leg at the joint. I suspect its either from a fall or she had cut herself from a nail or something. After my cat fell from a short distance and landed awkwardly, i noticed a few minutes later at the joint in her left leg that there was blood and it looked like there was an exposed bone. Upon further inspection i realized it was a cut and the part that looked like her bone was actually her bloody fur. I cant tell where this injury came from. A fall or a cut?

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Without seeing a photo of the cut, it is difficult to know what is going on. Either a fall or cut may have caused the wound. I don't know how severe it is, but if the bleeding cannot be stopped or you think Moya is in pain, I recommend having her seen by a vet as soon as possible. If the wound is healing, I recommend trying to keep the area clean and dry. You should monitor the area for swelling or discharge as these may be sign of an infection. I hope this helps!
