Is it normal for my older male cat to lick our younger male kitten?

Our older cat, Lola, spends a lot of time licking our kitten, Mowgli. There's around a 1 year age difference between them and we got the kitten almost a year after Lola and they're both males so we don't think it's a maternal thing. Was just wondering what this meant and if it is something we should keep an eye on, thanks. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 14 lbs
