Hi! My 1 year old dog caught allergy today and I gave her antihistamine. The swelling in her snout area has lessen and she has also stopped scratching her face and body. She's not lethargic but is obviously less energetic like how she usually is. And she's also stretching her neck like she's sniffing air. Are these behaviors caused by her allergy? (Allergy symptoms started at 1pm, gave antihistamine at 2pm. Time now is 8pm) Thank you!

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach! Tack may be less energetic from the antihistamine. Antihistamines can cause sedation so this may explain the lack of energy. The antihistamine should not have caused the stretching of the neck so if you think that she is having trouble breathing and stretching her neck to breath, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her right away. Allergy reactions can become very severe and affect breathing. If she is still doing this, I would get her seen right away. If not, then I would wait until the antihistamine wears off and see if her energy returns back to normal. If the allergy symptoms return or she is still sedated, I would get her seen by a veterinarian for an examination and further testing / treatment. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
