How can I get my new kitten to consistently use his litter box?

Hi my name is Cristian i got a new male kitten he's mostly white and I'm having trouble getting him to use the litter box he'll use it some times but other times wont the box is always cleaned out i just dont know what to do can u please help me? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 13 days old | 2 lbs
