My dog got the wrong Lovan dose. Should I worry about an overdose?

My dog got 3/4 of lovan and was supposed to get 1/4, she used to be on half, will she be ok?

I am not sure what your pets weight is, but this medication is given at a dosage of 1-2 mg/kg and as high as 3mg/kg daily dosage can be given to pets. I also don’t know what mg dosage your pets Lovan is, since this medication comes in about 3 different dosages. 1 lb=2.2 kg’s. So a 20 lb dog can take around 30 mg of medication daily. As far as toxicity is concerned, around 15.9mg/kg daily dosage can lead to toxicity in dogs. I hope this helps. If you see signs of toxicity (lethargy, vomiting, vocalization, etc) in your pet then it’s best to take her to your local vet to be treated symptomatically and detoxed. Best wishes and take care.
