Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Female | spayed | 2 months old | 8 lbs
We have adopted Bethany to our family. She is a Border Collie, 8 weeks old, shy one day of three months, and weigh just a little under 9 lbs. How much food should we be giving her. She is being fed Royal Canin, and the package calls for only 3/4 cup per day. She has a ravaging appetite, and currently we give her 1/4 cup every three hours, but she wants MORE! What's quantity is healthy for her? Thanks.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach, and congratulations on your new puppy! As a border collie, I would assume that she has a fairly active energy level and is utilizing the majority of calories she is eating. If she seems extra hungry, I do think it would be fine to increase her food to 1/3 cup three times a day and then re-evaluate her weight and appetite in a week. Additionally, I would have a fecal sample examined for intestinal parasites. Good luck!
