My cat has rodent ulcers, swollen mouth, flea allergy. How can I help?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 9 lbs

Hi my car is suffering from rodent ulcer his mouth is swollen with two yellow ulcers and I’m guessing he has a skin reaction from flea saliva His scratched so bad he bleeds and the hair disappears so I’ve resorted in treating the sores and putting a cut sock to avoid him making contact with his claws when he scratches. How can I help with his recovery to make him feel more at ease plz ?

Poor Sedrick. Most cats with rodent ulcers and severe allergies like this need antibiotics and steroids to heal. I would have your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to prescribe him the appropriate medicine to help him feel better. If you don’t think you can give pills, talk to your vet about an injectable options as there may be an antibiotic and steroid available so you don’t have to treat at home. Also make sure you start I’m on a high quality flea preventative like comfortis, cheristan, or advantage multi. Fleas also live in the environment so make sure you treat your house and yard for fleas as well. I hope this helps.
