My dog is tired of one side. Can she lay on her stitches after surgery?

My dog just had some tumors removed from her leg 2 days ago. She is clearly tired of laying on the same side of her body. Is it ok if she lays on her other side on top of the stitches. Pet's info: Dog | American Staffordshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 6 years and 11 months old | 80 lbs
