My dog poops small amounts twice daily. Is this a partial obstruction?

Pet's info: Dog | Basset Hound | Female | spayed | 2 years and 9 months old | 55 lbs

Could a dog defecate twice a day with an obstruction? She got loose and nibbled some grass. Had loose but formed stood yesterday (normal for after a carvride for her). Defecated twice today but not as big as usual, I’ve cut back on treats as well. No vomiting, not painful on palpating, eating, drinking, and playing normally. Vet says nothing to worry about and no need to bring her in, but I’m a worrier—especially since she’s the last gift from my deceased mother.

Hello. With a partial obstruction, some stool could still pass by, but if Harper Grace is still eating & drinking well, & there in no belly pain, then I would not expect any kind of obstruction. Watch her over the weekend, & if she continues to eat & behave normally, then you can stop worrying. I am sorry for the loss of your mother. I know that Harper must be very precious to you, but she sounds fine to me for now. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
