Is my cat's constipation and peeing normal 2 weeks post-spay?

is it normal for a cat to get constipated 2 weeks after a spay? She is also peeing small amounts in random spots. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 7 lbs

Thank you so much for using Pet Coach to address your questions about Princess. I would not expect the constipation 2 weeks after a spay but sometimes urinary tract infections can occur after the surgery. Tonight try feeding Princess some canned food with a teaspoon of canned pumpkin, make sure to add extra water. Tomorrow take Princess into the vet to have her urine checked for infection. Sometimes there's not really constipation, its more straining due to the bladder being inflamed. The doctor may be able to tell if theres constipation based upon abdominal palpation. I hope this helps!
