Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | unspayed | 5 years old | 20 lbs
Hi, I just got my dog Revi from a breeder who no longer uses her for breeding. She is on a raw meat/veggie/egg yolk diet. Under her belly/ on her teats/ and on her back legs she has awful yeast infections and "elephant skin". Is there any way to treat and keep the yeast infections away as to get the "elephant skin" cleared up as well? Thank you in advance!

Poor Revi! I would take her into a vet first thing in the morning. If she has awful yeast infections, she will need anti-fungal medications to treat them. She could also have an underlying bacterial infection, and might need antibiotics to treat that. I would also recommend stopping the raw meat diet. Oftentimes, these homemade diets are not properly balanced with all the nutrients and vitamins she needs to be healthy. In addition, these raw diets pose a health risk to both you and Revi in that both of you could get infected with salmonella or Ecoli. I would feed her a high quality dry dog food, such as Royal Canin or Hills Science diet.
