My dog has been diagnosed with pink eye. Been to the vet twice but it doesn't seem to be clearing up. Been 12 days. Told me to keep pitting drops in and come back in two weeks. I am worried. Is this too long? I don't always get the drops on perfectly and it winds up on the lids because she shuts her eye tight.

It is a long time to take for an eye infection to clear up, but if you aren't getting the drops on correctly, that could be a cause for it to not clear up. I would take Valli back to the vet to have her eye examined, but I would also recommend having someone help you put the drops in her eye. Have that person hold her head so you can open her eye with one hand, and put the drops in with the other.

It sosmetimes takes a few weeks to cure an eye infection. However it is really important that you get all the drops into Valli's eye. Get help to hold her, if you can, Then you have both hands free and can gently spread open the eye lids and put the drops in.
