Why is my senior dog lethargic and yelping when I put on her coat?

my dog is about 13 years old. all of a sudden she is lethargic in the home. when I take her outside in the cold she starts making sneezing sounds. she doesn't seem to be in any pain except when I try to put her coat on her then she yelps and bites me. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 6 lbs

It is likely that Dixie is in pain somewhere and putting on her coat hurts. Since she is an older dog , it is likely she has arthritis and that could be one of the causes. This pain can be regulated with pain medicine or antiinflammatory medicine. Best make an appointment with your vet for a check up.
