My dog won't stop chewing his nails. Is it allergies or infection?

Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Male | neutered | 4 years and 10 months old | 150 lbs

Great Dane is chewing nails down to the skin. No signs of pain but is relentless in chewing his two middle nails.

He could have allergies and/or a nail infection. He should be examined by a vet to diagnose and treat the problem. Your vet can prescribe an antibiotic, anti-histamine, and/or a corticosteroid to treat. You could also soak his paws in a warm Epsom salt solution and see if that helps.
