Senior dog with brain tumor and many symptoms. Is it end of life?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 5 years and 1 month old | 60 lbs

My 15 year old boxer/pit mix was diagnosed with a brain tumor and seizures. He takes seizure meds and predusone. He has developed continuous bloating, bad body odor, bad breath, severe smelly gas, thirsty, sleeps often and increased potty breaks. He does have weakness in his back hips with some pain. I feel he may have cancer or his organs are shutting down and I don't want him to suffer unnecessarily. Any advice

The brain tumor may have spread to his other organs causing him to have multiple problems. Unfortunately, it sounds like his quality of life is not very good at this point. You could have your vet run some lab work and possibly take x-rays of his abdomen to see if anything can be done to help him and make him more comfortable but, if not, than you may need to consider euthanasia, especially if he seems to be suffering. So sorry that Peppe is having all these problems.
