How to clean a sick dog with bloody stool without moving him?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 5 lbs

I've talked to my local vet Saturday morning and this morning I am taking him to them in the morning. However he is pretty sick still an has dried bloody stool on his rear an peed all over himself, he has a seizure 1 time a year and he is acting like he just had one. Very lethargic an has the wobbles. We don't want to move him. What would be the best way to wash him?

I'm glad you are bringing Chichi into the vet in the morning, he does need to be seen by them. I would use wash cloth that has been soaked in warm water, and use that to gently clean the dried bloody stool and urine from his body. That way, you don't have to move him, but he can still be cleaned.
