Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | spayed | 13 lbs
Hello. My Pomeranian dog is 7 years old. Recently we noticed that her small incisors on the bottom jaw are loose. We took her to the vet and she said said there was only one tooth that was causing the trouble...but how could it just be one when her other teeth are loose too? She said she wants to try to save her tooth and prescribed her clindamycin to take. Do you feel this is correct? Can it be just one tooth when all the other teeth on the bottom are loose as well? will it get better?

Some of the toy breeds have fairly loose teeth naturally. If a tooth is so loose that it might fall out, then I personally would remove it. However, since I have not seen Stella's mouth, I cannot tell you whether it needs pulling or not., Clindamycin is a very good antibiotic to treat gingivitis, which could also be the reason for the teeth loosening. I suggest you give your dog the course of antibiotics and then discuss a teeth cleaning with your veterinarian.
