My puppy's behavior changed. Is it new home stress or time for a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 2 months old | 5 lbs

My puppy has had a behavioral change since he first got home. He was so playful, happy, loved to go outside to potty and take walks. He no longer wants to go outside at all, he bites me aggressively and whines for no apparent reason. Should I take him to the vet or is it just the adjustment of a new home?

It can be the adjustment to the new home, as it is stressful, but it would be good to have Kylo checked out by a vet to be safe. A sudden change in behavior from the normal can be due to a medical problem, such as an injury, and it's alway good to rule that out. If he's still acting differently, I would take him into the vet tomorrow.
