My dog ate Mexican fan palm berries. Are they toxic? He has diarrhea.

My five year old German Shepherd has taken up the liking to the berries that come off of the Mexican fan palm he has been fine for a week just showing signs of diarrhea today cannot find anything online about the toxicity of these black and red berries

According to the California Poison Control system, the Mexican fan palm is not toxic to dogs; however, given that Alister has just started having diarrhea, the berries could be causing him some GI upset, and I would not allow him to eat them anymore. To help treat the diarrhea, withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet.
