My dog has a bite and smells like paraffin or petrol. Is it serious?

i have a shepherd's dog in my home. she has a bite on her shoulder and smells strongly of paraffin or petrol . She has eaten well and I have put butadiene on the wound

If your dog smells strongly of paraffin or petrol you need to wash your dog with dishwashing soap to wash off any residue. Observe the bite for infection or pus, and if it looks angry, painful and infected, you need to take your dog to a vet.
