My Frenchie puppy is congested and sneezing. Is he okay if he's active?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | 2 months and 8 days old | 9 lbs

My 10 week old frenchie sounds slightly congested this morning. A bit more snorty than normal and has let out a few sneezes. Should I be concerned? His behavior hasn't changed he sleeps and plays very well. Can I attribute this to sleeping with a fan on at night?

Poor guy. It is possible he has a mild irritation of his upper airway. Wait things out a bit and just continue to monitor him throughout the day to see if the congestion improves. If it doesn't get better or if his symptoms worsen (i.e. Coughing, labored breathing, etc) then it's best to take Ginme to your vet. Upper respiratory infections (kennel cough) are common in puppies and the symptoms mimic cold like symptoms in people, but the difference is that antibiotics are used to resolve symptoms.
