Why is my puppy collapsing, confused, and bleeding from her vulva?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 1 day old | 3 lbs

Hi, my puppy is about 4 months old, she's a very small chiweenie. She will randomly fall over and whine, it looks like shes confused when it's happening. She's also bleeding out of her vulva fairly heavy. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow, I'm just so worried. Thank you for your time.

There are likely several problems: 1) she may have a urinary tract infection which would explain the blood from the vulva. She is a bit young to be in heat, but this could be the case also. The falling over could be little seizures, or syncopes, which, in a dog that young would be caused by congenital defects such as a heart defect (e.g. tetralogy of fallot) or a liver shunt. Your puppy needs to be seen by your veterinarian ASAP. A urinary tract infection is easily treated with antibiotics, however a liver shunt or a heat problem will likely need surgery.
