Is powdered milk causing my puppy's diarrhea after weaning from mom?

I gave my puppyToby powdered milk since he'sno longer with his mother,he used to drink his mom milk Does changes made in drinking milk cause diarrhea?

Yes, that will cause diarrhea. In addition, dairy causes GI upset in dogs, so it's never recommended to give it to them. If Toby is old enough to be away from his mother (at least 6-8 weeks of age), then he does not need milk anymore. He should only be drinking water, and he can have puppy food. If he is stlll young, less than 6 weeks of age, you can safely give him puppy formula. I recommend KMR, you can get it from the grocery store or pet store.

    Yes, powdered cow milk may cause GI upset. Use an appropriate puppy milk replacer such as Esbilac or PetLac. You can buy either at most pet stores. If Toby is between 4 and 8 weeks of age, he can start eating solid puppy food. Choose a quality canned or dry diet. Mix with the puppy milk replacer to make a slurry if necessary or to soften up kibble.
