My jack Russell Quiny is in some distress and seems quite bloated he has had problems stones in his urinary tract which caused him to pass blood levels am very concerned that he may have a blockage or have bloat but it could be constipation I've given him a small portion of bran flakes and he seems to have settled down at the moment he's sleeping what would you advise I do

Unfortunately I'd have to say that this is an emergency, and Quiny needs immediate care. Bloat isn't very common in Fox Terriers, and you'd be likely to see vomiting without bringing anything up if that were the case. However, with a history of having urinary stones, and the fact that his abdomen is now a bit bloated, I would want to know for sure right now whether he can urinate. If he has not urinated in the last 12 hours, and for sure it he's trying to urinate and he's not able to, he needs emergency care.
