Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Poodle | Male | neutered | 22 lbs

My dog had parvo 3 years ago, and is up to date with vaccinations. He has bloody diarrea, but is still eating well. It dors NOT smell bad at all. I will always remember parvo smell. I found a small worm in the hallway. I believe he has worms. Can I treat him over the counter? Do I have to treat my cat and other dog?

The best treatment for worms are the ones on prescription. I would strongly recommend to have Polo checked by your veterinarian and have all your pets treated (some worms can be transmitted by fleas, so ideally flea treatment should be given as well).
