Are tick collars toxic if my dogs lick or chew them during play?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 5 months old | 73 lbs

I've 3 Retrievers ,and we have Tick problem in our region .I thought of using Tick collar.But while playing there might be chances of getting into contact with collar like licking or chewing or biting the collars of each other .Is it Toxic ,or is it ok .Can I use collars ,pls help me .

I would recommend staying away from collars if they are playing a lot and they play rough. My concern is that the collars get caught while they are playing. There are great topical and oral medications that can be given and these can be given monthly or certain ones can be given once every 3 months.
