My crated 4-month puppy is sleepy. Does he need more exercise?

my 4 month old puppy is in a crate all day while i'm at work (with 30 minute mid day walker). when i come home he still just wants to sleep or lay with me on the couch. Should I force him to go on walks and to the dog park even though he isn't interested? I'm concerned he isn't getting enough stimulation. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 11 days old | 11 lbs

Yes, I would do that. He does need more exercise even if it's just walking as opposed to playing or running. That being said, be sure he has had all his vaccinations before taking him to any dog parks or anywhere that a lot of dogs congregate so that he doesn't catch something. Hope this helps.
