Why does my unfixed male dog hump other dogs? How can I stop it?

Question

I have a 2 year old applehead chihuahua and is not fixed. He goes crazy every time he says another dog and wants to hump them. We got a new dog (Female Terrier, older than 6 months) and we have to keep them seperated for a while until she heals from being spaded. My questions are: How do we get the chihuahua to not want to hump every dog he sees. How should we handle the situation? Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 5 lbs
