Hi, My dog has a scabby lump on his side that looks like I can almost pull it off. It doesn't really seem to bother him much, but it's growing fairly quickly. I can't find a photo of anything like it online, but did my best to take my own. It seems like it's barely attached to the skin and I thought it was a tick at first. He doesn't have any symptoms other than the bump (normal appetite, drinking, energy, etc.).

These types of lumps are usually due to a sebaceous adenoma, or wart. In both cases, they will often go away without any treatment, but have the potential to break open and bleed in this location. There is no way to tell for sure what is actually causing this from a picture though, so I recommend having your vet evaluate it for a more definitive diagnosis the next time he goes in for a visit. I hope that helps and all is well with Otis.
