Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 13 days old | 1.6 lbs
My puppy has ringworm, he’s already been to the vet and is being treated. His hair has grown back on the majority of his spots, my question is do I still have to continue to isolate him? It’ll be 2 weeks on Friday since his treatment began. We also do have another dog inside the home who does not have ring worm.

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Taco. I would highly advise isolation in this case but I will tell you this, even shed hairs are contagious so direct contact is NOT needed to spread ringworm. Ringworm should be treated for at 1-2 months after all lesions are gone. I would retest Taco for ringworm to make sure it is completely cleared before integrating him. Good luck Also, ringworm is a Zoonotic disease meaning humans can catch it from dogs. Small children and the elderly, especially shouldn't have contact with him during the time of treatment.
