What is the diet for feline virus infected cat. Can i give milk if it feels thirsty? Doctor just asked me to give water with glucose. I want to know if i can give milk. Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Male | 3 lbs

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about your cat. Any balanced cat food is ok as long as it is appropriate for his age. Milk, no never give milk. Kittens and puppies once weaned from their mother lose the ability to digest the milk sugar lactose. Just like people that are lactose intolerant. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, intestinal cramping can develop. Just provide fresh water always.
