If the ulcer doesn't seem to be healing fast enough you should take Spike back to your vet, they should prepare some serum to put in his eye every 2-3 hours (serum is prepared from whole blood, it can be from your dog or from another dog). serum is considered the best non invasive treatment for eye ulcers.

I am sorry Percy is not feeling well. Corneal ulcers (ulcer of the eye) can be very difficult cases. In healthy dogs with a minor ulcer they typically heal in 3-5 days. However, patients who are ill , young or old can have weaker immune systems and take longer to heal. Also, the depth of the ulcers plays a big role. IF the ulcer is superficial/shallow it will heal faster. I would recommend seeing an ophthalmologist for a more aggressive approach to healing. hope this helps
