Hamster has infected eye and walks wobbly. What should I do?

What can i do if my hamster has a infection she can't hardly open her left eye she walks wobbly she is eating and drinking water.. what is best for her ?

She could be suffering from an eye infection although many hamster in generally bad health condition can also appear to have an eye problem when it is in fact a generalized disease (such as cancer). i would recommend taking her to the vet ASAP in order to have her checked and treated.

    I’m sorry to hear this is happening . She could have an injury to the eye and is “pulling” it back to protect it. It is also possible that it appears shrunken if it had ruptured. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian soon. Antibiotics may be recommended if there is an injury. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon.
