Why is my cat shaking, growling, and freezing? Could it be seizures?

Our cat keeps having what looks like fits. Her whole body shakes and she makes a strange growling noise. If you touch her she sometimes stops and responds but other times it continues and she stops and appears frozen. Any ideas what this could be? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed

It sounds like Scooby may be having mild seizure events. I would recommend video taping one of the events in question and showing it to your vet to clarify what these are for sure. If they are seizures then the vet will want to run some tests to check for possible causes and then anti-seizure medication will likely be prescribed to hopefully help manage Scooby’s condition.
