Dog flea shampoo not working. How to treat my untouchable cat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed

I have a chihuahua/tzu and she have fleas. However i also have a cat but she doesn’t let anyone touch her so I’m not sure if she hates fleas too. I constantly wash my dog with flea shampoo and it helps but only temporary because i end up finding more. What should i do?

You need to treat the environment and all animals. They do make a flea tablet that you can crush and hide in the cats food to treat him. It is best to give the dog an oral treatment also. You will need to at least Treat for 3-4 months to break the entire life cycle
