My dog swallowed a rock, throwing up, not eating, but still playful.

Question

My dog Oso swallowed a small rock and threw up 3 times today. He has not drank any water or eaten his food. But he ate one of his dog treats. He is still acting really playful though. Please help! Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 9 months and 30 days old | 18 lbs

If the vomiting, lack of normal thirst/appetite continue, then I would advise having your vet evaluate him. Rock ingestion can be a major problem in dogs. They can become stuck in the stomach or intestines causing a foreign body obstruction. Your vet can take a history, examine him, and then discuss a treatment plan as warranted. Good luck
