Hi my 8 month old pupper had a lot of coconut oil by mistake. She has already thrown up twice. Should we be worried or will it wear off soon?

Typically if dogs ingest a large amount of oil it can cause gastrointestinal upset and diarrhea. I would recommend continue to monitor simba and limit the amount of water and food until Simba stops vomiting. IF Simba continues to vomit I would recommend taking her to a vet for medications to stop the vomiting and calm her stomach. I hope that helps

Poor Frankie! It sounds like the coconut oil made him sick. I can give you a home remedy for him. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Best of luck.
