Hi. I have a kitten who is somewhere between 4-6 months old who isn’t spayed. We also have an 8 year old male neautuered cat. Lately my kitten (Calypso) has been yelling and howling at 7:30 am on the dot to let her out of my room to go play, usually with Orion (the 8 year old male) however tonight we found Orion over her bitting her scruff while she was yowling. Had to yank his jaws open. 2nd time he did it we grabbed HIS scruff and he held on again pulling his jaws open.Pls help.Is she in heat?

Your female kitten can definitely be in heat this young. I would recommend getting her spayed as soon as possible. If you feel Orion is going to hurt Calypso you can separate them to make sure he does not hurt her. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
