What is this raised bump on my cat's head? Is it serious?

I can see that Sunshine has a small, raised, round bump over her right eye. While it does not appear to be bleeding or have any discharge at the time, it may be a cancerous mass, or a localized infection. I recommend having Sunshine seen by a vet who will be able to either remove the mass or take a sample of it to determine if it is benign (harmless) or malignant (infiltrating the tissue and possibly spreading). She should be seen sooner if you notice that the mass starts bleeding or having any discharge, starts growing in size rapidly, or you think it starts bothering Sunshine.
