Why is my dog suddenly weak, sleepy, and having trouble walking?

My dog is acting funny. She was sleeping and I want to wake her up but she would just look super sleepy. Than we she finally got up it's as if she is drunk or something because she isn't walking straight. Kind of as if she's sleep walking. She'll wake up but looks like she's fighting herself to not fall asleep. Please help. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 23 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It sounds like Beba could be feeling weak. How serious depends on what it is. For example, this can go from just her being really tired to her being ill. Some things that can cause weakness include anemia, inflammatory conditions, among other possibilities. If she is otherwise doing well (eating and drinking well, etc) I recommend that you continue to watch her closely. If this behavior continues by tomorrow, have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If she worsens tonight then definitely have her examined before. Good luck! I really hope that this is nothing serious.
